Cyber Security Competitions

Building Tomorrow's Workforce
The nation's cyber infrastructure depends on well-trained professionals to support and protect its systems and networks from attacks. Detectware Security Group believes hand-on cyber competitions are a valuable learning method for all students, regardless of level. Cyber competitions are interactive, scenario-based events or exercises that help students develop and increase cybersecurity skills outside the traditional academic environment. Additional, cyber competitions provide a forum for networking and information sharing, which Detectware Security Group believe to be an integral platform for increasing the future ranks of cybersecurity professionals.
Lecturers: Start a Cyber Competition Team
Lecturers can boost their students' interest and skills in cybersecurity through coaching a cyber competition team. Competitions give students an opportunity to put what they've learned into practice as they work as a team to solve problems in a new learning format. These competitions foster talent in students who might otherwise not pursue cybersecurity opportunities.

Detectware-University Cyber Security Competition 2016 (DUCSC)

  • Detectware Security Group consultants creating the CTF challenges for the first DUCSC in 2016
  • Capture the Flag ( forensics, cryptograpy,  boot2root, wireless, Packet Analysis)
  • Detectware Cyber Security Quiz
It’s Not Just For Fun. It’s For Your Future

Get ready for the largest student-run cyber security event in the nation: a weekend of competitions, industry talks and events to prepare best-performing students with the skills and knowledge to shape the future of the industry.

Welcome to Capture the Flag (CTF).

Realistic offensive security competition that tests and teaches at the same time.
Students tackle problems in a series of real-world scenarios modeling all sorts of computer security problems where, to succeed, they must demonstrate a profound understanding of the roles and ramifications of cyber security in these situations.
Because the challenges are designed to teach, CTF requires contestants to integrate concepts, develop skills and learn to hack as they go. Undergraduate and Graduate finalists compete on-site for cash prizes, where their performance is judged by a panel of technical experts.
This will be a jeopardy style Capture the Flag event with challenges in various categories related to cyber security (Forensics, Network Forensics, Cryptography, Packet Analysis, Ethical Hacking)
Detectware-Universities Cyber Security Competition will be limited to 15 teams from selected Universities. Teams will consist of 1-5 students, with one team per university. All team openings are on a first come first serve basis. If multiple teams are received from the same university the second team will be put on a wait list.

Detectware Cyber Security Quiz

It's a trivia face-off for techies: a cyber security game show sponsored by Detectware
